Part of the BBC1 's Ghost Stories for Christmas series. Perhaps the least impressive of Clarke's adaptations. The decision to transpose Paxton to an out of work treasure seeker is awkwardly done.
Ager too, is more Monty Python than is comfortable. The quietest moments are the best but there are few.
